New Vocabulary

Flush Left-all the texts are aligned to the left. Flush Right is were all the texts are aligned to the right. Centered-has a formal feel to it. Justified-lines on the left and on the right. small caps- have a hight that is similar to lowercase x-height lining-basically all the same hight,looks similar to a capital letters.have the same height.lines up the numbers. non lining-dosent line up all the numbers. leading-the space in between the line of type. margin-the white space around the edges of the document.tells where we should keep all of the important stuff. kerning-adjusting in between individual characters. tracking-allows you to adjust spacing between characters as a whole. concept-an idea/something formed in ones mind. Final product= the end result,how we ultimately communicate to our audience. thumbnail= a quick sketch to get thoughts out of your mind and onto paper. Initial cap-larger decorative capital letters at the beginning of text or paragraph.

This is an image that has a good visual hierarchy that can be read easily.And has a good contract to.This is what I might do. This one has a good contrast and emphasis. I like this one a lot it has a very good visual hierarchy. You can see the C in the White Filled Space. This one is pretty good.

This is my history timeline,I tried to do my best with it.It represents the time from cave painting to computers(right now). This is my alphabetography poster of what I was doing in my neighborhood and out in the park.I have been taking pictures of letters of how they fit there shape,in trees,and other objects.

Visual Organization

-Not directing the audience through a design in misdirecting them. Eye Movement -the typical eye moves left to right and top to bottom. -controlling eye movement within a composition is a matter of directing the natural scanning tendency of the viewer's eye. -The eye tends to gravitate towards areas of complexity first. In pictures of people,the eye is always attracted to the face and particularly the eye. -Light areas of a composition will attract the eye,especially when adjacent to a dark area.                    ---     -Diagonal lines or edges will guide eye movement.
